Beyond the Edge – Free Theatre Workshop at Herning Ny Teater

Come and get to know the world of theatre. Theatre is about playing, daring, and lifting together. It's about reaching out to others.
Over four sessions, we’ll dive into it: Through theatre exercises, we’ll get to know each other, the stage – and ourselves in a new context by playing with roles. We’ll create space and time for discovery and for reflecting on what we find.

Playing roles is a way of putting yourself out there – while also protecting yourself. It’s easier to step into the spotlight when it doesn’t feel like your whole self is at stake. When you pretend it’s someone else – or just a small part of you.
Theatre training can be a chance to begin expressing yourself in new ways. To dare a little more, to feel a bit freer. And doing it together with others can create new and meaningful connections.

The workshop is led by Torben Guldberg, a trained actor with over ten years of teaching experience. He currently leads Herning Ny Teaterskole, which has existed under Herning Ny Teater (formerly Team Teatret) for seven years. The school offers extracurricular theatre classes for both beginners and those with more ambition – there’s room for all levels and starting points.
