Who is Education Network Herning?

Education Network Herning consists of the municipalities of Herning and Ikast-Brande, 11 educational institutions in the area and 22 companies. They pay a yearly membership fee, that so far finances the project for 2 years.

EducationNetwork Herning serve to:

Attract more (future) students to the educational institutions in the municipalities of Herning and Ikast-Brande as well as maintaining them in the area to ensure a qualified workforce in the future.

Our vision is:

We want to create a unique and appealing student environment in Herning, that attracts and maintains qualified labour in the area. We want to make the Herning area a strong contender in Denmark's top 5 most known places to study.

We will accomplish this through the following 6 areas:

• Attract more students to the municipalities of Herning and Ikast-Brande through an attractive student environment (coordination of existing activities at educational institutions, city and the business community as well as creating new events and initiatives across educational institutions)
• Maintain students in the municipalities of Herning and Ikast-Brande with the purpose of securing a qualified workforce for the business community
• Effectively and determined market Herning as an attractive place to study
• Point out better conditions for the students, including housing and transportation
• Contribute to the furtherance of a rich and varied supply of educational courses
• Stay in touch with students who settles down in other cities.
