Networking loung- the place to meet!

The Network Lounge, or the back room of the library at AU Herning, is precisely what its name suggests it is.

Students will have the opportunity to expand their networks and meet new people by participating in the various events brought to them by the International student society and International society Herning-Ikast-Brande.

Those are networks for foreigners and encourage activities within the community they live in, as well as help them integrate better into the Danish society. The network lounge, however, is welcoming not just the internationals in Herning but also the internationally-minded people from all over the world.

The Network lounge will certainly be the students’ comfort zone at the university. It is the perfect place to study, watch movies or just chill, and of course expand one's social networks.

The first event on November 22nd was a success and everyone who participated expressed positive emotions. Ieva Smitaite, a student at AU Herning, commented: “To be honest, at the beginning I thought it wouldn’t be that interesting, but it was really exciting and fun, and I am looking forward to the upcoming events!”

 On of the next event will be, “Cook and talk” will begin, where people from different countries will cook some of their traditional cuisines and explain further their cultures.

And of course, professionals from the International society will keep on visiting and sharing their experiences, so stay tuned for all the upcoming events, and make sure you book those dates on your calendars!
